Other Notes: George S. Wasson and his wife Amelia moved to Kittery Point, ME and became neighbors with the noted wood carver John Haley Bellamy (1836-1914). It is believed that Bellamy provided Wasson with the carved wood panels on which to paint his maritime scenes; only a few of these pieces are still known to exist.
