He then lived with his family in Nyack until he returned to Paris in March 1909. The Edward Hopper House Art Center archives in Nyack, New York include cards and correspondence to his family that were signed either "Ed" or "Eddie."The informal signature and date on this drawing suggests it was a gift to a family member and a copy of a very early photograph of Marion. Note her left “lazy” eye in the drawing that can also be seen in the photograph of her with her brother that is reproduced in most books on Hopper
