Other Notes:
Accompanying the lot is a letter of confirmation as to authenticity, postmarked 15 Oct 2003, from Ed Shein, notable art dealer, to Susan Barker of Durham, New Hampshire, in which he states "Dear Susan, This is to confirm that the unsigned beach scene 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" that you sent me a photograph of is definitely by Mable M Woodward. My parents owned 100 of them most of which I sold, so I think that I am more familiar with Woodward's work than anyone alive. The beach scene was painted in Perkin's Cove in Ogunquit probably in the 1920's. Best Wishes /s/ Ed Shein"
