Former student and fellow Anderson researcher, Douglas Giebel, shared the following:
It is a painting of the South Dartmouth Bridge, with the house, water, bridge appearance, and even the telephone pole consistent with other paintings done of this landscape in the 1963 to 1965 time period when Lennart was teaching summers at the Swain School of Design at the invitation of David Loeffler Smith, chair of the painting department, and a classmate of Lennart's from Cranbrook. The Swain School was absorbed by The University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 1988.
